What you'll do

• Assist with developing and implementing custody, security, treatment, and emergency procedures
• inspect for compliance with facility regulations
• review staff and inmate disciplinary matters
• coordinate staffing and assess staff effectiveness
• respond to unusual occurrences
• supervise correctional officers, assign posts, and ensure staff training
• support character development and access to facility programs
• facilitate assistance for inmates experiencing injury, illness, or emotional trauma
• provide guidance and referrals
• prepare policies and other required documents
• implement facility goals and monitor daily logs.
