What you'll do

• Perform oral assessments and periodontal evaluations
• scale and polish teeth
• apply preventive treatments
• identify conditions for dentist referral
• take impressions and fabricate mouth guards and bleaching trays
• educate patients
• obtain and document medical and dental histories
• take radiographs
• maintain clinical records
• provide chairside assistance when needed
• clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
• use electronic dental records.
