Electrical Technician, Steel Mill

The Electrical Technician role is onsite at Pacific Steel Group’s steel mill in Mojave, CA. Compensation is $39.90–$52.50 per hour; the position may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus. The technician supports reliable, safe equipment used to produce, shape, package, and ship rebar. The role maintains and improves electrical and electromechanical systems to reduce equipment failures and production delays. Placement at Level I, II, or III depends on demonstrated qualifications and position scope.

What you'll do

• Perform equipment rounds and preventive maintenance
• interpret electrical diagrams and technical documents
• troubleshoot, test, repair, install, and replace electrical components and field devices
• maintain motors, starters, drives, transformers, switchgear, and variable frequency drives
• prioritize calls, work orders, projects, shutdowns, and installations
• use diagnostic tools and coordinate with other departments
• follow site safety and PPE procedures.
