What you'll do

• Review project plans, specifications, drawings, schedules, and related documents
• prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other expenses
• use estimating software and tools including McCormick and Bluebeam
• account for market conditions, labor rates, and material costs
• collaborate on bid proposals and participate in bid meetings
• solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes
• maintain vendor relationships
• prepare cost-tracking and estimating-accuracy reports
• coordinate with engineering and project management teams to clarify project details.
