Electrical Design Engineering Manager

The Electrical Design Engineering Manager is an onsite role in Indianapolis, IN, with a stated salary range of $130,000–$150,000 per year. The position leads electrical design and virtual construction work for large commercial and industrial projects, including mission-critical, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, multifamily, and hospitality projects. The role exists to coordinate design teams and preconstruction work while ensuring electrical systems are high-quality and code-compliant. It oversees project schedules and deliverables, technical calculations, design documentation, team development, and coordination with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.

What you'll do

• Manage multiple preconstruction projects and oversee design engineers and virtual design staff
• coordinate timelines and deliverables
• review and perform electrical calculations
• ensure designs meet NEC and applicable building codes
• coach and develop design professionals
• coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients
• review contracts, BIM execution plans, and specifications
• oversee coordination and installation drawings
• support power distribution, site systems, underground, and temporary power design
• identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
