Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Test Engineer

The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Test Engineer role is onsite in San Jose, CA, for a 6+ month assignment, with pay of $50–$55 per hour. The engineer supports the GNSS SoC location group with software and hardware verification testing in a laboratory. The role exists to validate mobile-device prototypes and GNSS performance, identify and communicate issues, and help engineering teams resolve them. It also contributes Python automation and regression testing capabilities to support reliable product verification.

What you'll do

• Support new hardware bring-ups and perform software and hardware validation tests
• conduct GNSS performance tests involving time-to-first-fix, positioning statistics, and sensitivity
• analyze results, identify root causes, and report issues
• collaborate with modem and GNSS software teams
• develop and maintain Python automation scripts for test execution, log collection, and data analysis
• contribute to test automation frameworks and regression environments.
