Hospital-Based Paramedic — Germantown Emergency Center

The Hospital-Based Paramedic works onsite in Germantown, MD, providing emergent and non-emergent transport care. Pay is $34–$43 per hour. The paramedic is part of the Butler Medical Transport/Best Care Ambulance emergency medical services team. The role assesses patients, provides advanced life support, and transports them to medical facilities for further treatment. It also supports crew readiness through mentoring, communication, documentation, vehicle and equipment checks, and current certifications and protocol knowledge.

What you'll do

• Provide patient care within paramedic scope of practice
• lead and mentor EMT and AEMT crew members
• respond to emergent and non-emergent transports
• communicate with patients, dispatch, crews, family members, and facility staff
• complete patient contact reports before shift completion
• maintain vehicles and equipment for transport readiness
• maintain station cleanliness
• keep certifications current through refresher courses and continuing medical education
• follow state protocols and procedures
• represent the transport service at community events as assigned.
