Data Scientist - Data & Analytics

Job overview

The Data Scientist role is an onsite contract position based in Ridgetop, TN. Compensation is not specified for this role, which supports the Data & Analytics department at Starbucks. This role exists to support business decisions by partnering on a cross-functional team to understand complex data relationships and build core data science models. The scientist will use data to create insights, develop repeatable pipelines, and deliver decision-ready outputs that can be adopted into real workflows.

What you'll do

• Extract, shape, and validate data using SQL to create analytically-ready datasets and processes that support measurement and decision-making.
• Build and improve models and pipelines by developing basic data science models and creating data pipelines for model training.
• Communicate insights clearly by explaining methodology choices, building dashboards/visualizations, and translating results into implications and recommendations.
