The Sonographer, Acute Care role is onsite in Bozeman, MT. Pay is $55–$60 per hour. The sonographer provides ultrasound services in an acute-care inpatient setting to assist diagnosis or treatment. The role performs ultrasound exams and procedures, produces images for practitioner interpretation, and supports timely reporting and archiving. It also contributes to quality indicators and assists physicians and other medical staff during procedures.

What you'll do

• Perform ultrasound exams and procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings
• assist physicians and medical staff during exams
• document information needed for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval
• retrieve and review prior studies, reports, orders, and related health information
• perform ancillary duties for distribution, billing, and archiving
• participate in quality indicator implementation and improvement.

Why this role

Thirteen-week contract. Schedule is 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Thursday and 9:00 p.m.–9:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Requires ARDMS registration in a listed category, an advanced category registration or qualifying experience and commitment, AHA BLS, and two years of post-graduation advanced ultrasound experience. Travel is required.
