The role supports EchoStar’s Video Services team, which works on DISH TV and Sling TV platforms and their customer experience. The role exists to ensure high-quality video delivery and system stability across commercial streaming products, applications, APIs, and backend billing integrations. It contributes by designing and executing tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with automation and deployment teams to maintain quality across complex platforms.

What you'll do

• Author, maintain, and execute test plans aligned with user story acceptance criteria across commercial streaming platforms and B2B video frameworks
• validate live linear, on-demand, and interactive features across commercial Android apps, mobile platforms, and specialized hardware
• use Android Studio, ADB, and Charles Proxy to capture Logcat traces, inspect API payloads, and simulate network constraints
• use AI tools to accelerate test case authoring, generate test data, and analyze defects
• validate data integrity and system behavior across backend microservices, billing pipelines, and enterprise software
• log, categorize, prioritize, and track defects in JIRA
• partner with automation engineers to execute automated suites and develop scripting skills over time.
