Engine Shop Service Technician — CAT 3500

Job overview

The Engine Shop Service Technician role is onsite in Longview, TX, with pay of $18.11–$30.07 per hour. The technician supports HOLT CAT’s engine service operations at its Longview shop. The technician inspects, diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds, and maintains industrial diesel and natural gas engines and related components. This work supports customer equipment needs and departmental service goals through safe, accurate repairs and documentation.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and diagnose industrial diesel and natural gas engines
• disassemble and assemble components to manufacturer specifications
• rebuild, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment
• communicate customer needs to shop management
• plan and control repair costs
• complete parts orders and repair documents
• mentor and train technicians
• maintain equipment and work areas
• follow safety policies
• participate in training
• work overtime as required.
