Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) PRN in Albuquerque, NM. This is an onsite, PRN position, 3 days a week. Ambercare Homecare is an Addus family company. This role involves conducting appropriate evaluations, assessing the home environment, identifying equipment needs relative to speech/language function, and establishing a plan of care to improve patient function.

What you'll do

• Conducts appropriate evaluations, assesses home environment (as appropriate), identifies equipment needs relative to speech/language function.
• Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a plan of care to improve patient’s function.
• Administer diagnostic speech and language evaluations and some basic, informal audio logical assessment in accordance with the plan of care.
• Recommends communication devices/aids as indicated.
• Prepare a report of each client’s diagnostic evaluation and make recommendations.
• Advise, consult and teach appropriate procedures and supportive activities to clients, family members, and other agency staff.
• Provide direct speech service to clients under a provider’s plan of care.
• Records and reports to the provider the client’s response to therapy.

What we're looking for

Education

Possess certification of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance.

Experience

At least one (1) year of acute care setting or equivalent experience
