Athletics Graduate Assistant

The Athletics Graduate Assistant position is onsite in Elsah, IL, at Hay Field House. Compensation is $15 per hour. This part-time, nine-month role reports to the Athletics Facilities and Events Manager and supports Principia College athletics. The assistant helps manage athletic events and facilities while supporting intercollegiate sports programs and student-athletes. The work includes game-day operations, program logistics, budget and travel support, and helping students balance academic and athletic responsibilities; coaching a sport may also be part of the role.

What you'll do

• Support event and facility management and game-day operations, including live stats, live streaming, and referees
• help develop and execute sport programs and practice or game plans
• help prepare sport information
• coordinate with Athletics, Alumni, and Advancement teams
• follow applicable athletic rules and report violations
• assist with budgets, season planning, travel arrangements, and equipment purchases
• support department logistics
• monitor student-athletes experiencing academic or social difficulty.
