The Cook I role is onsite in Jacksonville, FL. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour. The position supports Island Oaks RV Resort’s Food & Beverage team and its goal of creating exceptional guest experiences. The cook prepares menu items to recipe, food-safety, and presentation standards while supporting efficient kitchen operations. Maintaining quality, sanitation, and teamwork helps the culinary team provide timely service to resort guests.

What you'll do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
• assist with ingredient preparation
• check food quality and temperatures
• operate kitchen equipment safely
• maintain production logs, temperature records, cleaning schedules, and checklists
• follow sanitation, storage, labeling, and FIFO rotation procedures
• assist with inventory, stock rotation, and deliveries
• report low inventory and equipment or maintenance issues
• communicate specials, shortages, and quality concerns
• support opening and closing procedures
• collaborate during peak service periods
• follow food-safety regulations.
