What you'll do

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines
• welcome patients and assess their wellbeing
• obtain vital signs and weights
• perform vascular access evaluation and cannulation and delegated heparin administration as permitted
• initiate and discontinue prescribed treatments
• monitor patient response and report changes to a nurse or supervisor
• document treatment data
• collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• clean and disinfect equipment and treatment areas
• support infection control and quality improvement activities.
