Director of Nursing

The Director of Nursing role is onsite in Visalia, CA, with compensation of $140,000–$155,000 per year. The role leads the Nursing Services department to provide appropriate care and services to residents in accordance with regulations and facility policies. The director plans and oversees nursing operations, staff performance, schedules, resident care, infection control, and quality activities. The position coordinates with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary partners to address concerns and improve services, and may provide direct nursing care as necessary.

What you'll do

• Plan, organize, develop, implement, evaluate, and direct Nursing Services operations
• communicate policies and monitor staff practices
• participate in admissions and management meetings
• evaluate nursing personnel and oversee staffing schedules
• support QAPI, infection control, surveys, and budget development
• collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, residents, and families
• conduct resident rounds
• monitor incidents and concerns
• may provide direct nursing care
• act administratively in the Administrator’s absence.
