The Principal, Inclusive Cities is a hybrid, full-time role based in New York, NY, with an annual base salary range of $155,600–$184,260 and eligibility for a discretionary year-end bonus. Employees work from the office at least three days a week. HR&A Advisors’ Inclusive Cities practice works with public and community partners to advance equitable urban systems and outcomes. The Principal leads complex client engagements, translates policy goals into implementable strategies, and guides multidisciplinary teams and senior decision-makers. The role also develops new work, supports client relationships and proposals, mentors staff, and helps shape the practice’s direction and methods.

What you'll do

• Lead complex client engagements from scoping through delivery
• manage budgets, timelines, and multidisciplinary teams
• translate policy goals into program, governance, capital, and implementation strategies
• oversee analysis and deliverables
• mentor project teams
• advise senior public-sector and philanthropic leaders
• cultivate client relationships and contribute to proposals
• help define Inclusive Cities practice priorities and methodologies.
