The Senior Robotics Engineer — Robot Learning role is onsite in Cypress, CA, with regular time at the company’s Redondo Beach, CA facility. The salary range is $200,000–$260,000 per year. Senra Systems builds electrical wire harnesses for aerospace and defense customers and aims to automate complex manufacturing. This senior engineer owns implementation of robot learning in the Automation Program, developing and deploying learning-based manipulation, perception, and data systems on production hardware. The work is intended to move capabilities from research into reliable factory-line use, including machine tending and, over time, dexterous wire manipulation.

What you'll do

• Develop learned manipulation skills for production-line tasks, starting with machine tending
• deliver learned skills, perception and grasping models, and failure analysis to production engineering
• build data collection, labeling, training, and evaluation pipelines
• research dexterous and wire manipulation
• evaluate and post-train robot foundation models
• run partner pilots
• set quarterly research plans with deliverables and go/no-go criteria
• help hire and mentor engineers.
