Mechanical Project Manager – Data Center

Job overview

Compensation is $5,000,000–$50,000,000 per year. The Mechanical Project Manager – Data Center role is onsite in Raleigh, NC. The position leads mechanical construction activities for mission-critical facilities, including data centers and other high-availability environments. The project manager coordinates mechanical scope from planning through commissioning and turnover, balancing budget, schedule, quality, safety, and operational uptime. The role serves as the primary point of contact for mechanical execution among owners, design teams, commissioning agents, trade partners, equipment manufacturers, and project leadership.

What you'll do

• Manage mechanical scope installation, including HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, fuel systems, process piping, and controls interfaces
• coordinate work in live or partially operational facilities
• review designs for constructability and risk
• manage equipment procurement and vendors
• coordinate startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover
• lead quality assurance and field walks
• track schedules and critical-path activities
• manage subcontractor performance, change control, safety, and operational risks.
