Manager, Legislative Counsel

The Manager, Legislative Counsel role is hybrid in Washington, DC, with in-office work three days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The expected annual base pay range is $118,000 to $147,500, excluding potential equity, bonus, and benefits. The position is part of Lyft’s Public Policy team. The counsel provides legal expertise on legislative issues affecting Lyft and the ridesharing industry. The role tracks and analyzes proposed legislation, drafts legislative language, and coordinates with policy, legal, compliance, and operations teams to inform strategy and implementation.

• Advise the Public Policy team on legislative issues

• draft legislative language, amendments, and recommendations
• identify legislative trends and develop responsive strategies
• assess legislative impacts cross-functionally
• coordinate with regional policy teams
• develop expertise in an assigned issue area
• work with compliance, legal, and operations teams on new regulatory frameworks.
