Senior Wireperson – Electrical Assembly, Four 10-Hour Shifts

The Senior Wireperson role is onsite in Houston, TX, with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Compensation is $16.50–$18.00 per hour. Powell manufactures engineered-to-order switchgear and electrical equipment for the power generation industry. The role coordinates assembly work and helps ensure products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, quality standards, and production deadlines. It also includes guiding team members, supporting training, resolving assembly discrepancies, and maintaining safe, organized work areas.

What you'll do

• Build and assemble mechanical components for switchgear and breaker units to drawings and specifications
• maintain tools
• perform in-process and final inspections
• lead ship preparation and assigned team tasks
• assist with training
• analyze engineering changes and correct discrepancies
• track shortages
• coordinate ship-loose processing with QA/QC
• make mechanical adjustments
• and promote safety and clean work areas.
