The Substance Abuse Counselor role is onsite in Memphis, TN. Compensation is not specified. What you'll do

  • Provide individual and group counseling for people recovering from drug and alcohol disorders
  • guide new and returning patients through intake and orientation
  • connect patients with community resources and follow up on referrals
  • develop and maintain individualized treatment plans and patient records
  • assess patients’ social, educational, economic, and vocational needs
  • respond to crisis situations and complete required documentation
  • comply with federal, state, and local requirements.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 5:30 a.m.–1 p.m., with rotating Saturdays from 6 a.m.–9 a.m. A master’s degree or higher and at least one year of counseling experience are required; specified counseling or social-work credentials are listed, with a formal licensure course of study accepted for candidates not fully licensed.
