The Staff Accountant — Tax role is based in Bellingham, WA, with an onsite first six months and a hybrid option afterward. Compensation is $30–$33 per hour. VSH is a full-service accounting and advisory firm serving local, regional, and international clients. The role exists to support client tax, accounting, and advisory engagements. It contributes through tax-return preparation, client research and planning, engagement coordination, project budgeting, and analysis in collaboration with senior staff, partners, and managers.

What you'll do

• Develop client research plans with senior firm members
• prepare business and individual tax returns, financial statements, and compliance work
• assist with tax planning and integrated business advisory services
• plan and schedule client engagements
• collaborate with partners and managers in client meetings
• manage projects within budget guidelines
• meet billable-hour goals
• and analyze data to inform decisions.
