Release of Information Specialist

What you'll do

• Process assigned medical-record requests
• validate requests and patient authorizations
• classify and log requests in ROI software
• retrieve and upload requested chart portions
• perform quality-control checks to prevent PHI breaches
• adjust invoices as needed
• release records to valid entities or reject invalid requests
• document exceptions and communications
• alert supervisors to unusual requests, suspected breaches, or delays
• answer requestor inquiries
• store records securely.
