Metrology Technician

The Metrology Technician is an onsite role in Huntington Beach, CA. Pay is $32–$45 per hour. The role supports Layup Parts’ precision manufacturing and AS9100 quality system.

What you'll do

• Inspect composite, machined, and assembled parts using 3D scanning and conventional measurement equipment
• develop PolyWorks inspection projects and reports
• interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
• perform First Article Inspections and support AS9102 documentation
• maintain inspection data and calibration records
• support nonconformance investigations, corrective actions, MSA, and SPC activities
• assist with document control, training records, and internal audits
• and perform quality inspection duties as needed. Learning basic ZEISS CMM programming and operation may be possible as metrology capabilities expand.
