Materials Manager, Valve Division

Job overview

The Materials Manager, Valve Division role can be performed remotely, with regular travel to division locations and meaningful time in company shops; candidates near Joliet, IL, or St. Louis, MO, are preferred. Annual base salary is $125,000–$150,000. Ovation Holdings’ Valve Division repairs, services, and sells valves for power, refining, chemical, and industrial customers. The manager builds and leads a disciplined, system-driven supply chain across multiple sites, owning inventory strategy, procurement policy, working capital, and cost performance to support customer jobs and improve division operations.

What you'll do

• Own division inventory value and days on hand
• maintain Plan for Every Part discipline
• reduce slow-moving and obsolete stock while protecting turnaround times
• establish procurement processes across regions
• negotiate supplier pricing and sourcing
• identify and onboard suppliers
• align planning with sales forecasts and shop schedules
• develop replenishment systems
• maintain item and vendor master accuracy across NetSuite and Global Shop
• manage planners and purchasing specialists
• partner with regional general managers and finance.
