The Medical Biller and Collections Specialist role follows a hybrid arrangement in Syracuse, NY: after onsite training, work onsite Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and remotely Tuesdays and Thursdays. The work helps patients navigate billing while supporting clinicians and operations teams and maintaining compliance with applicable payer and government requirements.

What you'll do

• Manage patient and customer billing accounts
• submit, review, and follow up on insurance claims
• resolve denials and aged claims
• communicate with patients, caregivers, internal teams, and payers about financial responsibilities and claim status
• maintain accurate patient account records
• monitor aging claims
• answer reimbursement and payer-processing questions
• follow Medicare, Medicaid, state, and insurance carrier regulations
• identify billing workflow and patient-experience improvements.

Why this role

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST, subject to business needs; hybrid schedule after onsite training; high school diploma or GED and at least two years of healthcare billing experience required; working knowledge of New York State Medicaid, Medicare Part B, and third-party payers required.
