Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician works onsite in Sparks, NV, on a full-time Wednesday–Saturday schedule from 8 AM to 6 PM, including holidays that fall on those days. Pay is $19.49–$23.64 per hour. The role supports the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home’s senior living community. The technician maintains and repairs building systems and shared spaces to keep the community safe, functional, and comfortable. The role coordinates with care and leadership teams, responds to urgent maintenance issues, and helps minimize disruption to residents.

What you'll do

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general upkeep
• complete work orders
• conduct preventive maintenance checks
• maintain safe and clean walkways, common areas, and mechanical rooms
• respond to emergency maintenance issues
• coordinate with vendors and contractors
• work with housekeeping, nursing, and leadership to prioritize work
• support special projects and seasonal tasks.

Why this role
