Maintenance Technician I, Day Shift

The Maintenance Technician I, Day Shift role is onsite in Norwalk, IA, on a 2-2-3 schedule from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., working 14–15 days per month. Compensation is not specified. The role supports maintenance and reliability at Michael Foods’ Norwalk plant, which produces precooked egg patties and French Toast products. The technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance and supports equipment reliability and asset health. Troubleshooting, equipment installation and adjustment, startups, and process improvement work help maintain plant operations while supporting safety and food quality.

What you'll do

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs
• troubleshoot technical issues with experienced maintenance personnel
• participate in maintenance training, critical-spares procedures, equipment commissioning, and precision maintenance assignments
• use CMMS and maintain records
• contribute to root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance
• follow safety, food quality, GMP, and regulatory requirements.

Why this role
