Teacher Assistant, Special Education

The Teacher Assistant, Special Education role is onsite in San Antonio, TX; pay is $17.50–$26.56 per hour. The position supports the campus and reports to the Dean of Academics at School of Science & Technology. The assistant helps teachers support students’ academic goals and differentiated instruction, while contributing to classroom management, student supervision, and special education documentation. This work helps maintain an appropriate learning environment and supports campus instruction.

What you'll do

• Work with individual students and small groups on academic goals
• assist teachers with classroom management and behavioral plans
• supervise students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events, and programs
• help prepare ARD/IEP paperwork
• collect and enter data for special education reports and documents
• assist with planning and implementing differentiated instruction.
