The Staff Software Engineer / Tech Lead, Patient Experience role is onsite in New York, NY, with a target base salary of $223,100–$311,000 per year, plus equity and benefits as applicable. Ro’s technology platform connects telehealth, diagnostics, pharmacy, and logistics to deliver care to patients. This technical and architectural leadership role builds and evolves patient-facing systems for discovering, starting, and continuing care. It partners with Growth, Clinical, Product, Design, Data, and Engineering to create scalable intake and related experiences that support patient and business outcomes.

What you'll do

• Set technical strategy with Product and Engineering
• lead backend-oriented work across healthcare intake, prescription flows, commerce, merchandising, subscriptions, and renewals
• shape ambiguous problems and product decisions
• guide engineers’ technical and product thinking
• build reusable systems for testing and scaling patient experiences
• connect patient journey insights to technical opportunities.
