• Assist the Director and Associate Director of Nursing with Nursing Department operations
• supervise care planning and delivery
• assess residents on admission and as conditions change
• make rounds
• provide or assist with direct care when indicated
• implement physician orders
• communicate changes between shifts
• maintain a safe environment
• provide clinical assessments to on-call medical professionals
• support staff competencies and education
• participate in facility surveys and discharge planning
• ensure adequate nursing coverage.
