The Director — Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory role is onsite in Stillwater, OK, with compensation commensurate with education and experience. The Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory is part of the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine and provides diagnostic support for animal disease detection and preparedness. The director provides strategic, administrative, and fiscal leadership for the laboratory, maintaining diagnostic quality and accreditation while developing services, partnerships, revenue, and the client base. The role also supports the laboratory's teaching, training, and service missions.

What you'll do

• Provide strategic vision and leadership
• oversee administration, finances, and resources
• develop strategies to expand diagnostic services, revenue, partnerships, and clients
• maintain timely, high-quality diagnostic services
• ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance
• support National Animal Health Laboratory Network responsibilities
• work with the Board of Advisors
• support teaching, training, and service
• represent the laboratory and university with external partners.

Why this role

Requires a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and an advanced degree, at least five years of veterinary diagnostic laboratory or relevant experience, and at least five years of directing or supervising experience. Board certification is desirable.
