Assistant Project Manager, Heavy Civil Construction

Job overview

The Assistant Project Manager role is onsite, with relocation to one of Southern Contracting’s offices in Biloxi, Mississippi; Newbern, Tennessee; or Dunkirk, Maryland. The stated salary is $85,000–$120,000 per year, plus performance bonuses. Southern Contracting delivers civil construction, utilities, and sitework projects across commercial and federal sectors. The role supports project managers and superintendents in delivering heavy civil construction projects by helping coordinate plans, submittals, schedules, vendors, subcontractors, materials, and field reporting while supporting compliance with applicable requirements.

What you'll do

• Interpret project plans and specifications

• support compliance with state, federal, and client requirements
