Accounting Specialist, Accounts Receivable and Payable

The Accounting Specialist, Accounts Receivable and Payable role is onsite or hybrid in Townshend, VT, working 32.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Pay is $21–$27 per hour. The position supports the financial operations of Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital. The role primarily tracks and posts patient and insurance revenue, reconciles daily facility transactions, and provides cross-trained accounts payable coverage when needed. Accurate financial processing helps maintain continuity in the hospital’s accounting operations and supports timely payments to suppliers and service providers.

What you'll do

• Review and post daily patient and insurance payments in Cerner
• verify transactions against bank records
• reconcile daily facility financial activity
• collect payment records from internal departments
• provide accounts payable coverage during absences or high-volume periods
• enter and verify vendor invoices in Multiview
• reconcile vendor statements
• maintain financial spreadsheets and protect confidential information under HIPAA and internal controls.
