What you'll do

• Perform mammography procedures according to established protocols
• prepare and position patients
• operate mammography equipment
• obtain diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• assist physicians with diagnostic mammography procedures as required
• explain procedures and address patient questions
• maintain patient safety and comfort
• follow radiation safety, infection control, HIPAA, and privacy requirements
• verify patient information and document accurately
• review image quality and repeat studies when necessary
• maintain equipment according to department standards.
