The assistant supports emergency veterinary care by helping triage patients, assisting with treatments and diagnostics, and working alongside veterinary technicians and veterinarians. The role contributes to continuity of care while offering guided learning and development in emergency veterinary medicine.

What you'll do

• Welcome and support incoming patients and assist with triage
• assist with treatments, nursing care, diagnostics, bloodwork, imaging, catheter placement, and oxygen support
• work with credentialed veterinary technicians and veterinarians on anesthesia and sedation cases
• set up and manage IV fluids, blood transfusions, and medication administration
• participate in patient rounds
• learn CPR and RECOVER certification through provided training
• develop advanced skills through guided training pathways as permitted by state law.
