The Machine Tender (Temporary) role is onsite in Suffield, CT. The posting lists pay of $20 per hour. The role supports HP Hood’s food and beverage manufacturing operations. The machine tender maintains and operates support equipment for filling operations, helping keep production supplied and product quality consistent. The role also assists with equipment cleaning and changeovers, packaging, safety, and food-safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Form bulk cans and supply the filler
• add lids to the descrambler and ensure proper operation
• operate ingredient feeders and variegate systems according to procedures
• assist with banding machines and roll changes
• disassemble, clean, and assemble related equipment
• verify metal detectors and complete documentation
• operate bundlers and palletize product when needed
• assist filler operators during flavor changes and problems
• pack and code cases
• operate powered industrial trucks to move materials
• maintain a clean and safe work area
• follow company, state, federal, GMP, SOP, and food-safety requirements.
