Life Enrichment Assistant – Memory Care

The Life Enrichment Assistant – Memory Care role is onsite in Portland, OR, at Avamere at Park Place. It is part time, Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00–7:00 p.m. Compensation is not specified. The role supports residents in an independent living, assisted living, or memory care community, primarily working with memory care residents. The assistant helps plan and deliver activities that promote resident well-being and engagement. Through group and individual interactions, activity coordination, and communication with staff and families, the role supports meaningful participation and resident connection.

What you'll do

• Assist with planning and implementing games, exercise, arts and crafts, music, and social events
• prepare activity areas and supplies
• lead group activities and engage residents individually
• encourage participation and provide assistance
• observe and report changes in resident needs or behavior
• maintain participation records
• coordinate with staff, volunteers, and families
• transport residents to activities as needed
• assist with setup and cleanup.
