Auto Body Parts Assistant

Job overview

The Auto Body Parts Assistant role is onsite in Shrewsbury, NJ. Compensation is $18–$22 per hour. The position supports the parts department and collision repair workflow at Collex Collision, powered by VIVE Collision. The assistant receives, verifies, organizes, and distributes parts so technicians have the correct components when needed. The role contributes to accurate repairs and timely vehicle delivery by coordinating parts with the parts manager, estimators, and production staff.

What you'll do

• Receive, inspect, and verify parts against purchase and repair orders
• match parts to repair orders
• document parts in the shop management system
• coordinate returns or replacements for damaged or incorrect parts
• organize and stage parts for technicians
• communicate arrival of critical components
• maintain storage areas and inventory records
• coordinate parts availability with repair schedules
• follow company policies, OEM procedures, and safety standards
• when applicable, drive to pick up, transport, and deliver parts.
