This role serves as a caregiver to residents in long-term care, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse.

What you'll do

• Serve as caregiver to residents during the scheduled work period in long term care.
• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Deliver age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs.
• Follow infection prevention and control policies.
• Provide assistance with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, and psychosocial support.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking.
• Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Communicate resident's changing condition to charge nurse.
• Collect specimens and gather vital signs.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services.
• Encourage resident participation in wellness and recreational programs.

What we're looking for

Education

High school graduate or GED preferred

Experience

High school graduate or GED preferred. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
