Guest Services Assistant/Care Specialist — 3:30 PM–11:30 PM Shift

Job overview

The Guest Services Assistant/Care Specialist works onsite at the Center for Women and Children in Miami, FL, from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, including weekends and holidays as needed; compensation is $16 per hour. The Caring Place provides shelter, residential programs, and other services for people experiencing homelessness and those in need. Reporting to the Behavioral Health Manager, this role oversees residents and facility operations, supports new-resident orientation, and helps maintain a safe and respectful environment. It also responds to emergencies, communicates incidents to management, and provides operational support for center activities and client transportation.

What you'll do

• Oversee the front desk, laundry room, and Guest Service CSAs
• help ensure clients and visitors are treated with respect and dignity
• check for hazards and unsafe conditions and correct or report them
• report maintenance problems
• help maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment
• handle emergencies according to policy and submit timely incident reports
• respond to emails and calls
• monitor residents
• assist with orientation for residents and volunteers
• participate in ministry activities
• provide operational support for center events, laundry, and client transportation.
