The inspector checks customized precision-machined parts and assemblies against drawings and specifications to help prevent defective products from continuing through production. The position documents inspection results and supports product quality standards.

What you'll do

• Perform in-process and final inspections
• determine inspection methods and setup requirements for first-article parts
• notify management to stop machine operations when needed to prevent continued production of defective parts
• record results in the 1Factory system and prepare reports
• interpret blueprints and specifications
• use inspection gauges and document and plot inspection data.
