Laboratory Operations Manager

The manager supports laboratory services for a hospital with more than 580 beds, working with the Laboratory Director, laboratory staff, pathologists, and other departments. The role manages laboratory administration, staffing, compliance, quality assurance, and fiscal operations while supporting timely, high-quality test results. It also oversees equipment, supplies, productivity, reporting, and staff development, and may contribute to benchwork as needed.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary clinical laboratory services
• serve as director in the director’s absence
• recruit, hire, and retain employees
• approve payroll
• maintain regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness
• support accurate laboratory billing and cost tracking
• work with pathologists and physicians
• manage procedures, quality assurance, equipment performance, supplies, productivity, staff training and evaluation
• contribute to benchwork as needed.
