Assistant Account Manager, National Retail Accounts

The Assistant Account Manager, National Retail Accounts role is onsite in Auburn, WA. Compensation is $75,000–$85,000 per year. The role supports Peterson Company’s account managers in serving national retail accounts and developing specialty food and grocery account expertise. This development role supports account retention and growth through buyer communication, order and service coordination, and commercial support. It also helps identify revenue opportunities within existing accounts while building the product knowledge and retail account skills needed to advance into an Account Manager position.

What you'll do

• Support day-to-day buyer relationships and respond to routine inquiries, order follow-ups, and communications within established SLA timeframes. Communicate pricing, policy, and operational changes
• maintain customer and sales data
• assist with revenue opportunities, new SKU introductions, program expansion, onboarding, trade shows, buyer meetings, and customer events. Coordinate with Customer Success and Sales Operations on order accuracy and issue resolution
• support forecasting, account planning, and reporting.
