The Structural Engineer, Professional Engineer, Marine Structural Projects role is fully onsite in Bellaire, TX, with a stated salary range of $125,000–$130,000 per year. The engineer joins the ports and maritime engineering group, serving clients across the US, South America, and the Caribbean.

What you'll do

• Design and lead marine and waterfront structural projects, including piers, wharves, bulkheads, marinas, and vessel mooring and berthing structures
• analyze and detail concrete, steel, and timber structures
• develop design concepts, specifications, cost estimates, and calculations
• design dock components and perform berthing, fender, mooring, and soil-structure interaction analyses
• lead or participate in inspections, rehabilitation, field work, and repair design
• coordinate drawings with engineers and drafting technicians
• perform design checks
• support construction-phase services
• resolve design problems and collaborate across disciplines. Occasional international travel may be required.
