What you'll do

• Assess residents at admission and discharge
• supervise assigned nursing staff
• document services and maintain resident records
• identify nursing problems and develop care plans
• make daily rounds
• implement care plans in accordance with physician orders
• educate nursing support staff on facility procedures
• coordinate discharge documentation and planning
• assign duties to LPNs and nursing assistants as directed
• work with the Director of Nursing on grievances
• review charting
• maintain infection-control and safety practices
• arrange replacement staff when needed
• track care trends and recommend improvements.
