Wire Electrical Discharge Machining Field Service Technician

Job overview

The Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) Field Service Technician is based in the Dayton or Columbus, OH area and provides onsite customer service, with telephone troubleshooting when appropriate. Compensation is $24.73–$28.03 per hour. MC Machinery Systems trains technicians for careers supporting Mitsubishi Machining products. The technician diagnoses and resolves complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems, performs repairs and testing, and documents issues and resolutions. Extensive travel to customer facilities is central to delivering timely service and maintaining customer equipment.

What you'll do

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose and repair technical problems
• examine, dismantle, and rebuild machines as needed
• troubleshoot by telephone when appropriate
• interpret schematics and block diagrams
• communicate with customers
