Medical Assistant — Full-Time or Part-Time

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Monroe, NY, with full-time or part-time opportunities and schedules based on patient needs and provider availability. Pay is $22 per hour. Aizer Health is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center providing services including internal medicine, pediatrics, acute care, dentistry, optometry, women’s health, rehabilitation, and behavioral health. The medical assistant supports patient-centered care by assessing needs and urgency, assisting with treatments and procedures, coordinating communication and referrals, documenting in the electronic medical record, and maintaining clinical safety and infection-control standards.

What you'll do

• Assess patient needs and urgency
• provide direct individualized support and implement provider orders
• assist with treatments, procedures, and patient education
• coordinate referrals and communication
• document in eClinicalWorks
• take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, assist with minor procedures, conduct diagnostic tests, and collect specimens
• maintain cleanliness, sterilize instruments, follow infection-control practices, and protect patient confidentiality.
