Aquatic Instructor

The Aquatic Instructor works onsite in Springfield, PA, on a part-time basis; compensation is $14–$17 per hour. The role supports the YMCA of Eastern Delaware County aquatics program. The instructor teaches swimming while maintaining active pool surveillance and applying safety procedures, helping participants learn and remain safe in the aquatic area.

What you'll do

• Maintain active pool surveillance and perform lifeguard duties with Lifeguard II or Head Lifeguard
• prepare and teach swimming lessons
• respond to emergencies
• enforce pool rules
• maintain participant records
• check equipment and pool conditions
• perform and document water-condition and chemical checks
• attend staff meetings and training.
